Digital assets are high-risk. This disclosure summarises key risks of holding, trading and using digital assets and related services. It is not exhaustive, and nothing here is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
1. No advice
CustodyPrimo does not provide personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Any information provided is general in nature. You are solely responsible for your decisions and should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
2. Market & volatility risk
The value of digital assets can be extremely volatile and may fall as well as rise. You may lose some or all of the value of your holdings. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Only invest what you can afford to lose.
3. Liquidity risk
Some digital assets may be difficult to sell or convert at a given time or price. Market conditions can change rapidly and liquidity may disappear.
4. Technology & cyber risk
Digital assets depend on cryptographic and blockchain technologies that may contain vulnerabilities, and may be subject to cyber-attacks, network failures, forks, or protocol changes. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible.
5. Custody risk
While we apply institutional-grade safeguards, no custody solution can guarantee absolute security. Loss of keys, insider threats or extraordinary events could result in loss of assets. Insurance coverage is subject to its own terms, limits and exclusions.
6. Regulatory risk
The legal and regulatory treatment of digital assets is evolving and varies by jurisdiction. Changes in law or regulation may adversely affect the value, transferability or legality of digital assets and the availability of our services.
7. Staking, yield & DeFi risk
Products such as staking, yield and DeFi access carry additional risks including lock-up periods, slashing, smart-contract failure, and counterparty risk. Advertised yields are not guaranteed.
8. Tax
You are responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations arising from your digital-asset activity. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may change.
9. No deposit protection
Digital assets are generally not covered by government deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation schemes.
